“Heading for Extinction: What to do About it” with John Burkhardt

When: Sunday, February 16, 2020, 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm
Where: Community Church of Boston • 565 Boylston Street • Boston

We are in the midst of an unprecedented climate crisis and ecological breakdown that threatens the continuation of life as we know it: record atmospheric carbon levels, global temperature rise, deforestation, plastic pollution, mass extinction of species... Join us to hear the latest information on the state of our planet, and learn how to become part of a global movement of social transformation for a livable future. • John Burkhardt has been a volunteer with Extinction Rebellion since March. He was raised by a poet and activist mom who instilled in him the desire for social justice and the power of people to bring change through social movements. At his day job he works on digital pathology, using computer vision and AI to assist in the early diagnosis of cancer. He lives in Arlington.
