"The Criminalization of LGBTQ People" with Michael Cox

We will discuss mass incarceration and the work that Black and Pink does to fight back for LGBTQ people. We will then focus on how incarceration impacts the LGBTQ community and the unique challenges we face behind bars and in returning to the community.

Michael Cox is the director of policy for the Boston chapter of Black and Pink. He served 6 years in prison as an openly gay person. Upon release he earned several degrees while organizing on behalf of LGBTQ people who are incarcerated.
