“Murder, Remorse, Prison, and Fighting for Justice” with Jean Trounstine and Karter Kane Reed

Karter Reed, sentenced as a child to an adult prison for a murder he committed at age sixteen will speak about why kids have the power to transform themselves behind bars.
Jean Trounstine, who wrote BOY WITH A KNIFE, a book featuring Reed, will discuss why children do not belong in adult prisons and why our parole system is failing such lifers.

• Karter Reed earned a 4.0 at Quinsigamond Community College, graduation with highest honors, and currently works and lives with his wife and family in Maine.

• Jean Trounstine, an activist, author and professor has written six books, the latest being BOY WITH A KNIFE: A Story of Murder, Remorse, and a Prisoner’s Fight for Justice.
