When: Wednesday, December 12, 2018, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: First Church • 6 Eliot Street • Jamaica Plain

What are the implications of the recently released report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC) and of the National Climate Assessment ? These reports, compiled by hundreds of scientists from around the world, warn that the dangers posed by climate change are no longer remote or hypothetical.

Both reports call for urgent action. How do we respond to a crisis larger than any we as a species have ever faced? We will present a panel of scientists and activists who are all committed to helping us develop the needed collective response. The panelists include, B.U. Professor Nathan Phillips, noted physicist and energy systems researcher Rich Rosen, 350 Mass Director of Organizing Alan Palm, and a representative of the Sunrise Movement.

will allow ample time for audience questions, as well as a chance to find out about and connect with local organizations working to address the crisis. The program is presented by the Jamaica Plain Forum and 350 Mass, with cosponsorship by Mothers Out Front, The Sierra Club and the Boston Clean Energy Coalition. Find out more here
