Celebrate Grassroot International's 35th anniversary!

When: Saturday, October 20, 2018, 4:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Where: UMass Boston • Ballroom at the Campus Center • Boston

I have the delight to be a staff member at Grassroots International. We're celebrating our 35th anniversary and thus cordially invite you to join me on Saturday October 20th, 2018 to celebrate resistance, resilience and power! Alaa Hammouda from Gaza Community Mental Health Program will be speaking at a solidarity panel during the event.

Grassroots International works in partnership with social movements to create a just and sustainable world by advancing the human rights to land, water, and food through global grantmaking, building solidarity across organizations and movements, and advocacy in the US.

The 35th Anniversary celebration will feature:

- Panel discussion with Ozawa Bineshi Albert from Indigenous Environmental Network, Alaa Hammouda from Gaza Community Mental Health Program, and Sofía Robles from Mixe Peoples’ Services. Learn more!
- International feminism, including US organizations connecting across borders
- Updates on the impact and vision of Grassroots International
- Gorgeous views of the Boston Harbor with delicious food and cash bar
- Grooving music from Zili Misik
- And so much more!

For 35 years, Grassroots International has connected people in the United States to these global social justice movements, who are working to solve the root causes of inequality and climate change. Come learn about how we do this and what we’ve got planned! Despite repression and hardship, we must celebrate every victory and be in community with each other.
