Join us for Mother's Day: “New Mom, Old Injustice” with Rev. Jolie Olivetti

When: Sunday, May 13, 2018, 11:00 am to 1:30 pm
Where: Community Church of Boston • 565 Boylston Street, 2nd floor • Boston

11:00 a.m. Service: On the occasion of Mother’s Day, Joli Olivetti will share reflections from her first ten months of motherhood, with a particular focus on racism. She asks: “How do I, as a white parent, raise my child to resist white supremacy? How do we have difficult conversations about race with the children in our lives?” Rev. Jolie Olivetti is a newly ordained Unitarian Universalist minister. As a proud former member of Community Church, she is delighted to share her thoughts with you this morning. Jolie works with the youth group at our congregation in Sherborn, and will be a hospital chaplain at Brigham and Women’s Hospital beginning in the fall. She lives in Jamaica Plain with her partner Adam and their new baby June.
