Homelessness: Ways to Help with Kate Layzer

When: Sunday, June 5, 2016, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Where: Community Church of Boston • 565 Boylston Street • 2nd floor • Boston

A sea-change is taking place in the way churches approach their homeless neighbors, and the programs they create to respond to neighbors in need. In this talk Kate Layzer will try to describe that change, what’s important about it, and how it is being expressed in several different area ministries in the Boston area, including a program she founded last year, the Friday Cafe, where she focuses on building community between housed and homeless, mainstream and marginalized.
