RegisterButton300Kicking off Massachusetts Peace Action's Distinguished Peacebuilders Series is the honorable Michael Dukakis! 

Michael Dukakis was governor of Massachusetts from 1975 to 1979 and 1983 to 1991. He was the Democratic nominee for President in 1988 and is currently a Distinguished Professor of Political Science at Northeastern University and UCLA. He is the author of How to Get into Politics and Why, with U.S. Senator Paul Simon. He served on the Amtrak board of governors and is a well-known advocate for effective public transportation and high-speed rail.

Tax Day 2016 is an important opportunity for Americans to reflect on our nation's budget priorities.  This event is also part of the Global Days of Action Against Military Spending.

This talk is being cosponsored by Democratic Socialists of AmericaBudget for All Massachusetts, and American Friends Service Committee - Peace & Economic Services. Following Gov. Dukakis' talk will be Series lectures by Noam Chomsky in May and Helen Caldicott in June.
