Harvard and Slavery: Seeking a Forgotten History

The Harvard and Slavery Research Project is hosting a presentation and discussion of a new publication,  which grew out of research by graduate and undergraduate students at Harvard.
To celebrate the publication and draw  attention to its story, the event will feature presentations by student researchers along with introductory remarks by Professor Beckert and commentary from Craig Wilder, Professor  of History at MIT and Author of  a forthcoming book on universities and slavery.
The discussion will be moderated by Evelyn Brooks Higginbotham, the Victor S. Thomas Professor of History and of African and African American Studies at Harvard.
