In an effort to get a debt reduction deal with Republicans, Democrats on the SuperCommittee, including Senator Kerry, have proposed massive cuts to Medicare and Medicaid benefits. These programs are lifelines for seniors and low and moderate income people and we must stand firm against these cuts. Yet, the Democrats have not proposed any cuts in runaway military spending.
