During Immigrant Rights week, people are shining the light of faith from coast to coast. In the spirit of the holidays, we are asked to welcome the stranger and reach out to those less fortunate, and those who are the objects of fear-filled actions. Interfaith Worker Justice will be joining with the national New Sanctuary Movement and other faith-based organizations and congregations in support of just and humane immigration reform. This vigil is to share the message that people of all backgrounds are standing on the side of love to keep immigrant families together and to end the raids and deportations. Filed under:

Three years have passed since the historic mass mobilizations which put millions of immigrants marching in the streets of small and major cities throughout the country. After years of workplace and residential raids, over a quarter of a million immigrants have been detained and deported, tearing framilies and communities apart.
