Combatants for Peace: Israeli and Palestinian veterans discuss peace

When: Monday, April 30, 2018, 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm
Where: Temple B'nai Brith of Somerville • 201 Central Street • Somerville

In 2006, Israeli and Palestinian former combatants laid down their weapons and established Combatants for Peace. The egalitarian, bi-national, grassroots organization was founded on the belief that Israelis and Palestinians must work together to end the Occupation and all forms of violence. Combatants for Peace is committed to nonviolence and seeks to build a joint activist community promoting freedom and security for both peoples. Combatants for Peace was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2017 and again in 2018.

Netta Hazan and Kholud Abu-Raeya will be telling their personal stories of transformation from violence to nonviolence, and sharing the remarkable work that they are doing to bring peace and justice to both peoples in their homeland.
