“From Dream to Outrage: Truth and Reconciliation for Today”
with Rev. Dr. Ignacio Castuera

The life and legacy of Martin L. King, Jr. has been sanitized and tamed, it is important to know how and why this was done. Current verbal jousting among members of the Black community need to be understood in the light of this domestication of the message of MLK Jr. in order to decide correctly which side of the debate deserves our attention and support.

The Rev. Dr. Ignacio Castuera was born in Puebla, Mexico and moved to California to study for the ministry receiving his Doctor of Religion (RelD) degree from the School of Theology at Claremont. He has served in a variety of settings from local churches to social service agencies and as District Superintendent in Los Angeles. For six years he was the National Chaplain for Planned Parenthood Federation of America. He is currently the CEO and President of religion-online.org.
