Nuclear Ban conference president Elayne Whyte Gómez of Costa Rica gives a victory salute after ban treaty is approved

Nuclear Ban conference president Elayne Whyte Gómez of Costa Rica gives a victory salute after ban treaty is approved July 7.

We invite all those who seek an end to the threat of nuclear war to come together for a remembrance of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki on Sunday, August 6th at 11:45am on the Cambridge Common.

The brief 15 minute program will include a time of remembrance, as well as a celebration of the recently adopted U.N. Treaty Prohibiting Nuclear Weapons. We will meet near the memorial in the center of the Cambridge Common.

Following the program, we invite you to take part in a Peace Picnic. Please bring your own food for the picnic; we’ll provide iced tea and lemonade. In the world we live in today, it is more important than ever to join together with other faithful people as we raise awareness of our common calling to be “Peacemakers.”
