Organize in your community for the Budget for All!
Many Massachusetts voters on Election Day will have an opportunity to vote yes on a peace and justice referendum, Budget for All! This says: Stop the Cuts, Invest in Jobs, Tax the 1%, End the Wars. UJP'ers helped put the Budget for All initiative on the ballot -- now we need a big YES vote!
This package is the first to provide materials for the UJP Coalition to help spread the word in your organization or community. Note UJP may match local fundraising with a 50% grant for purchase of flyers and signs.
Attached you will find:
1) a list of Mass. House and Senate districts where the referendum is on the ballot, and the ballot question number in each district (it varies).
2) a set of optional flyers with space to put in your question # (formatted in Word, they are easily edited). Flyers #1 and #2 may be used as a half pager, or as the front of a two-sided 8.5x11" with #3 or #4 as the backside. Pick what makes sense in your community, or modify them. Flyer #5 is an optional graphic design. Note the full text of the referendum is on flyers #1 and #2.
3) Dorchester Peace for Peace preliminary flyer, for those who prefer this format. It can be easily edited as it is formatted in Word.
Information on yard signs, posters and the media campaign will soon be sent to the UJP Activist listserve. Materials and support are posted on the campaign website, budget4allmass.org.
