CAC is proud to host the bi-lingual book reading of Haifa is no Cordoba or "Haifa Laisat Cordoba" with author, Dr. Shawqi Kassis for a bi-lingual, English-Arabic, book reading and discussion.
Dr. Kassis will discuss the cultural importance of the Palestinian citizens of Israel narrative. A Q&A and reception will follow the reading.
Autographed copies of the novel will be available for purchase.

Haifa is no Cordoba, initially published in 2011 with a newly released 2012 edition, provides a rare window into life as a Palestinian minority in Israel, with a look at the history since 1948 woven through a story about family, culture, and politics.
