Presented by the Boston Industrial Workers of the World Union

The Boston IWW warmly welcomes you to enjoy two touring troubadours teaming up for a night of traditional and radical folk!

Come see performances by George Mann and Rik Palieri and socialize with the Industrial Workers of the World Union.

George Mann

A union organizer and activist for the past 15 years, George grew up playing in rock and roll bands on Long Island and in New York City. He has previously recorded four albums of his songs and performs for many unions and organizations. In the fall of 1997, Julius recruited him for the New York City Labor Chorus, and as the two got to know each other better, the idea of working with Julius to bring labor and folk music to the public was born. He is a producer of labor music and released a new solo CD, “Into the Fire,” in 2008.

Rick PalieriRik Palieri

Rik has performed in some famous places like The 40th Philadelphia Folk Festival, The Vancouver Folk Festival, The Port Fairy Folk Festival, Cafe Lena, The Hudson River Revival, The Bitter End, The Blue Bird Cafe, and Trumps Taj Mahal. He's also performed in little known venues like "Bojangels" (out in the heart of the Australian Outback), The Long Branch Saloon in Dodge City, Kansas, The Poor Man's Shanty in Phoenix, Arizona and The Polish Coal Miners Union Hall in Southern Poland. He has appeared at festivals, clubs and radio shows in Australia, Poland, France, Spain, Germany, Scotland, Canada and in every state in the USA except Hawaii.
