Friday: No War on Iran Forum
Elaine Hagopian (Professor Emerita of Sociology, Simmons College)
Jeff Klein (Dorchester People for Peace)
Another Middle East War should be unthinkable considering the blunder of the war on Iraq and the continuing quagmire of Afghanistan.
However some US policy-makers and Benjamin Netanyahu continue to push for an attack on Iran. Currently, Iran is dealing with with draconian sanctions and targeted assassinations of their scientists. Intelligence to date does not support accusations that Iran is enriching uranium to produce a nuclear weapon.
Iran signed onto the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty in 1970 and has said they will not and are not producing such a weapon.
All these issues and more will be discussed at the forum.
