YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City (celebration and fundraiser)

For one night only, join members from all over the community as ten immigrant-owned and -operated restaurants come together, offering tastings of their cuisine for the third annual YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City celebration and fundraiser! The event is a benefit for The Welcome Project, a local organization that works to strengthen the voices of immigrant youth and adults in Somerville. The 2012 YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City celebration will feature live entertainment, silent auction and international tastes from around Somerville. Co-sponsored by the City of Somerville's Shape Up Initiative and with an appearance by Mayor Curtatone, YUM is a truly local celebration. Sample the delicious tastes from participating immigrant-run Somerville restaurants at YUM: A Taste of Immigrant City. Meet friends new and old at a fun and satisfying benefit for The Welcome Project at Arts at the Armory on April 25, 2012 at 6:30pm.

Enjoy tastes from Ethiopia, Mexico, the Mediterranean, Thailand, Nepal and more.

Tickets are $35 in advance or $40 at the door and include an evening of culinary tastes from YUM restaurants and local entertainment from around the world.
