Last year, A Child’s View of Gaza, a book of Palestinian children’s artwork, was slated for  exhibition at  the Oakland Museum of Children’s Art.

However, in September 2011, the art exhibit of children's drawings was banned by the Museum of Children’s Art (MOCHA) in Oakland, CA at the last minute, without explanation.

Barbara Lubin, Founder and Executive Director of the Middle East Children’s Alliance (MECA), will speak both about the art exhibit itself, the censorship surrounding the exhibit, as well as discuss the conditions on the ground in Gaza.
